chocolate chip cookies.

Besides a receptionist, a student, a sister, a wife, a gym-goer, & a list of other odd things. As of late, I am also a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur.  (this place is quickly turning into a baking blog.)

i finally found a recipe that is nearly perfect. i am still searching for the perfect recipe but this is close. They are soft, & sweet. They definitely taste buttery which is good but you can't eat a million without getting ill which is upsetting.

if you have a go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe, lemmeknow.

*original recipe found here.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted & cooled (if it is still hot, your cookies will fall flat when baking.)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1: preheat over to 325 degrees. line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
2: sift together the flour, baking soda & salt. set aside.
3: cream together the melted butter, brown sugar & white sugar until well blender. beat in the vanilla, egg, egg yolk until light & creamy. mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. stir chocolate chips.
4: roll tablespoon sized balls & place on cookie sheet. bake for 11 to 14 minutes. cookies will be light golden brown on outer edges & the centers are still soft & puffy. do not overbake.
5. cool cookies on sheets until able to life without breaking. transfer to wire rack to cool.
