merry, merry thanksgiving.

11.11.2014

+ I know my last post was mostly about Halloween. I am one of those people. You know the ones, that put their Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving & listen to holiday tunes the day after Halloween. I don't dislike Thanksgiving. In fact, I love it because it also duels as my birthday a lot of the time. I just choose to be very thankful for Christmas.

+ My office takes Christmas very seriously (4 Christmas trees, seriously.) If I could spend all day, every day of the Christmas season decorating trees, I would. After spending the better part of the day dolling up the front lobby, I went straight home & set up my tree. I can't be stopped.

+ At 22 weeks pregnant, I don't fit into a single pair of jeans I own. If you have a favorite pair of maternity jeans or leggings, please help a sister out. I'm currently wearing dresses & tights because you know, they are stretchy.

+ I took a brief blogging break to set up another Christmas tree. This time my office got a bit of a holiday makeover. #christmasallyearround
+ speaking of christmas, if you live in Utah county you can listen to christmas music on the radio alllll oofff tthe tiiiimme. 103.1 FM. You're welcome.

+ I turn 22 in a few weeks. I still feel 18- minus the pregnant part. I wasn't pregnant then. Weird, weird, weird.

  1. I hope that this isn't weird seeing as I have not met you personally. But I found your blog a couple of months ago and I must say that you are charming and I quite enjoy reading your blog on this little corner of the interwebs.
As for pregnancy jeans, I just bought a band that made my normal jeans fit my pregnant body. It worked okay but I mostly lived in dresses and leggings because I found all of my pants to be annoying. So, with the next baby, I plan to try the advice in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8cRZ3WzEb4
I think that she is cleaver and full of class. I like her fashion sense and she has really great recommendations for clothes and products. You can also find her blog here: http://cardiganempire.com/
I thought I would just pass it along. Congrats on the pregnancy. And your Christmas trees look fab.

  7. Thanks for the Christmas station tip! I'm in Grenada (definitely not Utah) and I was still able to find the station and listen to it live online. American Thanksgiving isn't celebrated here, so I don't even feel a little bit bad about decorating and listening to Christmas tunes all. day. long. Not like I ever felt guilty about that in Utah either, but you know...

p.s. I always look forward to your Christmas tree posts circa mid-November, because they are the prettiest.

  9. haha we are the same way. no worries. ugh, except like how do you find christmas lights for your tree that don't die out every season? we bought some from wal-mart and they are blue-ish, so i'm definitely going to have to redo the tree cause my ocd with christmas can't handle that LOL. your tree is beautiful and i'm jealous you get to decorate christmas trees for your job.

    1. I use walmart lights too & after three years, I finally had one strand die out! I'm a firm believer in lots & lots of lights so I use the basic mini warm white lights & the old school, glass bulbs as well! I wish I had a tip on how to make them last longer!

  10. My husband is the Grinch so I HAVE to wait until after Thanksgiving to start putting all my Christmas-ness up! As for the maternity wear, I have bought all my bottoms (leggings and jeans) from Old Navy. I love them. They're comfy but not super expensive. Also I have bought a few pairs of Lularou leggings.. I live in them. If I could wear them to work I would, but working at a bank, it probably wouldn't be acceptable. Dang. P.s. come decorate my tree. Mine looks pathetic compared to your masterpiece!

  11. Do you want to come decorate my Christmas tree? I did not get the creative gene, that's for sure.
And for maternity clothes in general, I would keep it cheap! I wear scrubs a lot for work, so I was able to get away with one pair of maternity jeans that I bought at Ross for $10 and they are super cute, so I was able to wear them to nice get togethers like Thanksgiving and such. I wore all the same shirts I have now, and none of them stretched out!

  13. Your decorating skills are seriously off the hook. If I had the money, I'd pay you to help with mine! And maternity jeans! My favorite pair were from jessica simpson's maternity line. THEY ARE THE BEST. I loved them so much that mayyyyybe I still wear them....

  14. You don't know me but I love your blog! This sounds a little crazy but Burlington coat factory has a ton of maternity clothes and they are usually pretty cheap and cute. Random find, I would've never looked there. Plus, bonus... They have cheap baby clothes there too!

  15. H&M has a fantastic maternity line called MAMA, they have awesome skinny jeans, leggings, work appropriate pants and anything else you could possibly want.

  16. I just picked up my first pair from Old Navy this week. They look so ugly sitting on the shelf, but try them on and you will love them and they will look 100% better. Trust me. They have skinny maternity jeans too which is awesome. Plus you can usually find Old Navy coupons for like 20% off. Maternity jeans are the best. So comfy.
